Jess and I took these pictures early last week. It was so much fun and actually pretty funny because I was seriously stuffing my face with a burger and fries but also trying to look decent with a mouth full of food for these photos. Like you all know, I love a good all white outfit and this was perfect for the week of The Fourth! Usually I would tie a shirt or sweater around my waist but I decided to go old school and tie it around my neck. I think doing this actually made the outfit! It was the perfect casual yet festive outfit for the weekend festivities.

LAGOON:

By some miracle, Aaron had work off on Friday and we decided we had to do something fun for the day. We had some of my cousins in town from California and ended up going to Lagoon for the day! Aaron is such an adrenaline junky, and to be honest, I’m a bit of a scaredy cat. I worry about basically anything and everything that could possibly go wrong PLUS I’m not a huge fan of heights, but seeing Aaron having the time of his life like a little kid, I decided I would go on whatever rides he went on and it was SO much fun. I think I had more fun at Lagoon now than I did when I was a kid. It was a day well spent.

Saturday Afternoon we took off to the mountains for a hike and a picnic. We took the top off my dad’s jeep and drove up Little Cottonwood Canyon to hike up Albion Basin. It is so beautiful up there! The whole time we were driving, Aaron kept saying how much it looked Switzerland. It was such a beautiful day. After our hike and lunch, we went back to my parent’s place for a BBQ and some s’mores. It was such a great 4th of July weekend. The 4th of July has always been on of my favorite holidays and this one was definitely one of my favorites.

I hope you all enjoyed your 4th of July and are enjoying your summer!

xoxo,

Makenna

It’s actually a sweater I got at Free People last year so it’s no longer available. Although, there is a similar style of sweater in my Shop section. It’s burgundy in the picture but it comes in a similar grey and cream color! Hope that helps. xoxo
