“The moon has awoken, with the sleep of the sun, the light has been broken, the spell has begun.”

Happy (almost) Halloween! To be 100% honest, I’ve never been a big fan of Halloween. I’m a total baby when it comes to scary things (but I also find them kind of interesting so liiiiike?) and I’ve never really gotten into the whole dressing up thing, although the candy is freaking bomb, BUT when Jessica asked me if I wanted to be a part of this big awesome Halloween collaboration I got so excited. First we started with hair and make up (P.S. can we talk about how amazing the lady’s did on my hair and make up?). It was crazy to watch myself transform from this normal person to a skeleton. I couldn’t even recognize myself! Then when we did hair it was pretty hilarious because we really wanted to go for this dead, white hair look but my gold blonde hair wouldn’t take any hair chalk so we pretty much dumped a whole bottle of baby powder on my hair. Safe to say I smelled like a baby’s bum all day and every time I moved I had a cloud of baby powder following me. Then we headed off to shoot at the cemetery, which, quick side story, was pretty funny because while I was driving there I kinda forgot I had a face full of skeleton make up on and had people in the cars next to me taking pictures and I even made a little girl cry when she was walking across the street. haha

This whole shoot was so cool. It was so fun to watch it come together the way we had imagined it. Everyone involved is so incredibly talented I can’t even handle it. To get the whole feel of how the shoot went and what was going on, here’s a fun little behind the scenes video that shows how weird I really am. Really though, like what’s that little dance move at the end?

Happy Halloween everyone! Be safe and eat lots of candy. Also, I hope you dream of my skeleton face tonight. K sweet dreams.

xoxo,

Makenna
