Happy Thursday everyone! Sorry I’ve been a bit MIA lately. I’ll let you in on a little secret. The past couple weeks I have had a bit of an “identity crisis”, as I like to call it. I go through these phases every once and a while where I kinda forget what I like, what my style is, what inspires me, and I get really discouraged and totally uninspired. But recently, I decided, you know what? I love my life. I love my husband. I have amazing friends and family, and I’m gonna give this thing everything I’ve got. So with that being said, I just wanted to let you guys know, I am far from perfect. I get discouraged, I feel inferior and self conscious sometimes too. BUT, despite all of that, I am challenging myself AND you to get over that bridge and start realizing how great you are, how amazing life is, and how lucky we are.

Now that that’s off my chest, let me tell you about my outfit. 😉 Lately, I am obsessed with overalls. I bought these overalls around this time last year but didn’t quit know how to style them or make them look chic rather than country, but, thanks to good old Pinterest, I started getting some good ideas on how to style my overalls and now I am obsessed. The lower rise fit are so flattering and make them way more modern. I like this light wash of denim too because you can dress it up and make it edgy paired with black and grey, or keep it super feminine paired with some pretty flats or heels and a lighter colored shirt. This outfit was perfect for my day out shopping and lunch dating with my husband. Adding the cutest dainty initial necklace by my talented friends at Woliski jewelry was a perfect touch. It added just enough detail but helped compliment my simple outfit.

Hope you all are having a great week!

xoxo,

Makenna

Emily, thank you so much for always being so kind and encouraging. You seriously inspire me! I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one who feels this way, especially coming from someone with such great style as you! xoxo
