GETTING READY:My favorite photo of me and my mumsy getting ready from my wedding. She did my hair and basically everything for me that day and I couldn’t love her more.
The amazing Vivian Johnson did my make up for my engagements, my bridals, and my wedding. If you don’t know Viv, you are seriously missing out. She played such a vital part in keeping me calm and collected on my big day and did everything to make me feel special and beautiful. Viviann was so sweet to make sure that I was eating through out the day and had enough lipgloss or mascara for pictures and kept joking around with me to keep me relaxed and I am SO grateful for that. So many people talk about how stressful your wedding day can be and how something always goes wrong, but in all honesty, I have never felt more calm in my life than I did on this day. I was so excited and so ready!

Parade of flower girls.
Instead of doing a line, we decided to do a grand entrance to I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) by The Proclaimers. We all had so much fun and I couldn’t stop laughing the whole time.Jessica’s little girl made THE cutest little flower girl. I know I’ve said this about almost every photo in this post, but this picture of my sisters and I is one of my favorites from the wedding. They are my best friends. So lucky to have these girls by my side through everything.
FIRST DANCE / Father Daughter Dance For our first dance as Mr. and Mrs. McReynolds we danced to Bones by Joshua Record. This is the moment I had tried to emotionally prepare myself for my whole life. haha I promised myself I wouldn’t cry but as soon as my sweet dad started telling me how proud he was of me and how beautiful I looked, I LOST IT.We had made a promise to be nice and not shove cake in each other’s faces…yeah we didn’t keep that promise. He has continued to make me laugh every day since.
Just a little word about Jessica. This girl is like a sister to me. When we got engaged there was not a doubt in my mind that she is the only person I wanted to shoot my wedding. She has been one of my best friends through some of the most important times in my life and I am so happy she got to be such a big part of our big day. She captured every single moment of our wedding so perfectly. (Special thanks to Ty and Whitney for shooting and capturing so many special moments. Love you guys!)
Me and Aaron got married on, what I think, was the most perfect day of the year. The weather was perfect, the sky was so blue, and we somehow got extremely lucky and didn’t have anything go wrong. We were both so calm and excited that whole day and decided that instead of stressing out, we would enjoy every part of the day we had together. We were sealed and married in the Salt Lake City Temple at 11 o’ clock that morning. It was the best experience of my entire life. When we were done with pictures we took a break to grab some lunch with friends and headed home to pack up for our honeymoon in New York then headed back to the temple for MORE pictures! As many of you might have seen on my Twitter/Pinterest, the first picture me and Aaron took together was standing in front of the temple looking at it holding hands, and when Jessica sent me a picture from our wedding day, smiling and laughing running away from the temple, I cried because it was so crazy to see how far we had come from then.
We then headed to our reception and helped set up and got everything ready. We had our reception at the Utah State Capitol, which, as I’ve mentioned in previous posts, was a very sentimental place for us. We had one of our first dates there. So it was a no brainer that that was where we would hold our reception. Thankfully, we had an incredibly bridal party, family, and so many friends that wanted to help so we didn’t have to stress to much about getting everything done. Instead of a line, we decide to do a big fun grand entrance to I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) and we all laughed as everyone danced down the stairs or slid down the banisters. All I could think as I walked down the stairs to be announced as Mr. and Mrs. McReynolds for the first time was “HOLY CRAP. HE IS MY HUSBAND. LIKE MY ACTUAL HUSBAND FOREVER. FOR ETERNITY. MY BABY DADDY ONE DAY.” and I kinda felt like I was going to explode inside because I was so giddy looking at him (to be completely honest I still feel like that every time I look at him.)
The night flew by so quick. Me and Aaron still joke around that we wish we could go back and be someone else witnessing the wedding because it was all so surreal to us. Our reception was one big party, filled with more people than I would have ever expected to come. Thanks to my amazing best friend/super mom, my dream wedding came true. I cry thinking about that day or looking at our pictures because it was better than anything I had ever dreamed of as a little girl. I had never expected to find someone like Aaron, marry him for time and eternity in the temple, and have such an incredible time with so many people that we loved. It was the most special thing we have ever been through.
