I went down for a quick photoshoot and to shoot some fun collaborations I had going on! It was a short weekend trip, but so much fun. It had been 10 YEARS since I had gone to Disneyland last and we made a split second decision right after I got off the plane that we would head to Disney for the day. I was so surprised at how different it was compared to what I remembered! It was overcast and rained for about an hour so it was dead! We flew through lines and ate all the churros possible. Seriously what is in those thing that makes them so freaking good? I still dream about them.

It was so funny being there and remembering all the memories I had there as a kid. I was obsessed with The Little Mermaid, It’s A Small World, and Splash Mountain. I honestly think Disney was even more fun going back as an adult. I guess you never REALLY grow up, do you?

Before we left for our California trip we all got together and did a little DIY project on our old denim jackets and I love how they turned out. (For those who have asked, we just picked up some iron on letters from the nearest craft store! We also grabbed some patches from thrift stores, old jackets and sweatshirts, even some Top Gun patches off of some old Halloween costumes. We put those on with fabric glue. TIP: to make the letters really stay and look sewn on, go over the letters a few times with the iron, then press the letters into the denim jacket with your fingers until they feel like they’ve stayed put! Super easy and so fun.) We all ended up wearing our jackets to Disneyland and looked like a little motorcycle girl gang or something, but we got stopped by a lot of people asking where we got them from. I would say that they turned out pretty well!

I’m already wishing we could take another trip to Disney. I’m craving the churros, Dole Whip, raspberry Mickey Mouse macarons, and of course, the mac and cheese in a cone from the Cozy Cone.

Hope you all are having a great week!

xoxo,

Makenna

Where did you get your denim jacket? I love this idea but I don’t have any denim jackets.

I got this jacket for like $15 at Forever 21 a while back! You can find them super cheap. I always look for some that fit a bit bigger and are a bit distressed. I have found those look best for the embroidered jackets!
